Shipping Information

When ordering from Christophe Artisan Chocolatier, please note that gourmet chocolates contain no preservatives and have a shelf life of approximately three weeks. Please also note that we are closed on Sundays and Mondays; any orders placed on these days will be processed on Tuesday. 

As we do not want fine chocolates to sit in a warehouse over the weekend, we prefer no more than 2–3 business days transit time. To accomplish this, we ship on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only—if an order must ship on a Thursday for whatever reason, you must select overnight shipping. For overnight chocolate delivery, you must order by 12:00 pm EST Tuesday through Thursday. 

We dispatch all unfulfilled orders by 12:00 pm EST on Tuesdays and Wednesdays—if your order is not placed by our cut off time of 12:00 pm EST on Wednesday, your order will go out the next Tuesday.

We do not ship for arrivals on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. Christophe Artisan Chocolatier is not responsible for delays or resulting damages that occur when orders are shipped via UPS Ground. 

We guarantee that our gourmet chocolates leave Christophe Artisan Chocolatier in perfect condition. If they arrive damaged, contact us immediately (within 48 hours) by email and provide pictures of the damaged chocolates, as well as pictures of the outside of the shipping box, and we will gladly issue a replacement or a refund—not including shipping charges.  

Charges depend on the shipping address, time of year, and weight. Pricing is subject to change. We are not responsible for damage or delays due to weather, shipping company error, or any other factor beyond our control. Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii incur additional charges, and we do not ship to Hawaii during the summer months. As gourmet chocolates contain no preservatives and have a shelf life of approximately three weeks, we do not ship outside the United States. 

After our chocolatier creates and packages your order, we pay close attention to proper shipping. For most of the year, we use insulated boxes with gel packs to prevent melting. These gel packs only guarantee protection for up to 36 hours. During warm months, gourmet chocolates should be shipped overnight or 2nd Day Air. We often halt all shipping operations during the summer months. During cooler times of the year, chocolates may be shipped ground, which takes 2–5 business days for delivery. We ship all orders under the service selected by customers. As UPS will not ship to PO boxes, we require a street address for chocolate delivery. Please ensure we have the complete address, including building or apartment numbers. Christophe Artisan Chocolatier is not responsible for incomplete or incorrect shipping information. Extra costs due to incorrect shipping information will be charged to you. 

We strongly recommend that someone be home to accept the package or that you ship the package to an office or work address. If shipping to an office or work address, be sure to select a shipping option that will arrive during business hours to avoid delays or rerouting. Let the recipient know the chocolate gift is in transit so arrangements can be made for someone to pick up the package as soon after delivery as possible. After delivery, insulated boxes may protect gourmet chocolates for only a few hours, depending on the weather and delivery site. If no one accepts the chocolate delivery, it will sit on the delivery truck another day and may not arrive in peak condition. Choose your perfect artisan chocolates, and place an order today.
